  • SCAD TVfest: True Crime – This event features panel discussions, exclusive screenings and insightful Q&A sessions with prominent figures in the field.   • FUNNY GIRL, the sensational musical comedy revival, is coming to Atlanta’s Fox Theatre for a limited one-week engagement from July 30 – Aug. 4 as part of the Regions Bank Broadway in Atlanta 2023/2024 season. Single tickets go on sale May 3 at 10 a.m. at the at the Fox Theatre box office at 660 Peachtree Street NE, by visiting foxtheatre.org/FunnyGirl or by calling 855-285-8499.   • Shakespeare Tavern Playhouse opens Shakespeare’s “As You Like It” this weekend. Rosalind disguises herself as a man as Orlando litters the trees with love notes praising her beauty and virtue. Will the two lovers be united? Will Orlando survive the wrestling match? See it Friday through July 27.
  • Sunday Funday – Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA) – Explore the Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA) for Sunday Funday! Beat the heat by customizing your own handheld fan with markers and paint pens. Enjoy music, bubbles, and hula hoops on the plaza, all activities are free.   • The Alliance Theatre’s Hertz Stage presents “Babble Lab,” a blubbering and blibbering exploration of spoken blurbbles as they spring forth in this one-of-a-kind, gee-gaw-filled laboratory. When an experiment unexpectedly goes awry, a concoction of sneaky, sprightly L E T T E R S takes over a weird and wondrous science lab.   • UniverSoul Circus flies high at Atlantic Station through Sunday. Featuring stars from five continents, all backed by the beat of World Music, UniverSoul Circus reimagines itself this year with more than a dozen culturally diverse performances. The circus features never-before-seen acts from Ethiopia, the Dominican Republic and Mongolia as well as an 18-person flying trapeze act from China.
  • A Mirror Maze: Numbers in Nature – On view June 8 – Sept. 9, 2024 at Fernbank Museum.
