  • JC100 Film Festival at Jimmy Carter Library
    Celebrate Jimmy Carter’s 100th birthday with free film screenings.
  • The Little 5 Points Business Association plans a Photo Walk and Art Show on Friday. The self-guided Photo Walk begins at 6 p.m. It highlights the winners of the recent L5P Halloween Photo Contest. 
  • A revival of “A Raisin in the Sun” at Theatrical Outfit runs through Sept. 29. 
  • French Market at Buckhead Village – A French-inspired open-air market with food, crafts, and music.
  • Shakespeare Tavern Playhouse presents Geoffrey Chaucer’s “The Canterbury Tales” through Sept. 29. 
  • The Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs’ fall arts event ELEVATE begins on Friday and continues each weekend through Oct. 13.

  • A new exhibit, “Golden Opportunity: Botanical Illustration,” is at Fernbank Museum through Jan. 1, 2025. 
  • The Atlanta Opera Discoveries series continues the “Bohème Project” with two immersive productions at Pullman Yards. The project comprises repertory performances of a modern-day “La bohème” (Sept. 18-Oct. 5) with the COVID-19 pandemic in place of tuberculosis — with the Broadway show it inspired, Jonathan Larson’s “Rent” (Sept. 19-Oct. 6), which updated Puccini’s story of friendship, passion and art by setting it in the midst of the 1990’s HIV/AIDS crisis. 
  • Start your weekends unwinding with live musical performances in The Colony Square Plaza the last Friday of the month from April to October. For upcoming show schedule go to  go.colonysquare.com/groovin

  • Sweet Auburn Music Festival – A weekend festival of live music and food.
  • Come out to Historic Roswell for the 11th annual Roswell Wine Festival. Take a leisurely stroll along Canton Street to sample wines from your favorite participating restaurants and businesses, while enjoying live music from notable local bands.

    A weekend of tattooing and art from over 200 artists.

  • La Bohème & Rent at Pullman Yards

  • Dining in the Dark: A Unique Blindfolded Dining Experience at Commerce Club Atlanta
  • Rise and Dine with the Animals at the Zoo, where you can enjoy a continental breakfast while also enjoying an early morning view of the animals as they get ready to start their day.
  • Atlantic Station hosts Creator’s Market from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. Saturdays and noon until 7 p.m. Sundays, every weekend through December.

  • AIDS Walk Atlanta & 5K Run
    Join the run and music festival to support local HIV & AIDS organizations.
  • Mercedes-Benz Stadium is the venue on Sunday for a face-off between the Atlanta Falcons and the New Orleans Saints. Game Time: 1 p.m. 
  • The Atlanta Braves wrap up the season with a three-game series with the Kansas City Royals at Truist Park this weekend. 
  • The Georgia State Panthers host the Georgia Southern Eagles at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Center Parc Stadium.
  • The Morehouse College Maroon Tigers welcome the Benedict College Tigers Saturday at 1 p.m. at B.T. Harvey Stadium.
  • Come out to the Broad Street Boardwalk for a FREE 60 minutes of all-levels vinyasa flow each Saturday morning at 10:00 AM!
  • It’s time for Chattahoochee Nature Center’s annual outdoor food and craft beer festival, Harvest on the Hooch, Sunday from 1 until 5 p.m. 
  • Hank Aaron Exhibit at Atlanta History Center
    Explore the life and legacy of baseball legend Hank Aaron.
  • The John Rhoden Sculpture Garden, the first of its kind dedicated solely to Rhoden’s works, opens this weekend at the Hammonds House Museum. The opening of the garden compliments an exhibition from the Hammonds House Museum Collection that explores the interconnectedness of African, African American and Caribbean artistic expressions. The John Rhoden Sculpture Garden features 10 of the artist’s sculptures. It will be a permanent attraction at the museum.
