- The Old Fourth Ward Arts Festival celebrates community Saturday and Sunday in Old Fourth Ward Park. Here’s what to expect: fine arts and crafts, a children’s play area, local food and beverage concessions and live acoustic entertainment.
- SCAD TVfest: Costume Design occurs from 2 until 9 p.m. Friday at 1470 Spring St.
- Hispanic Heritage Month continues through Oct. 15. There will be an Hispanic Heritage Celebration Saturday from noon until 5 p.m. at the National Center for Civil and Human Rights.
- A new exhibit, “Golden Opportunity: Botanical Illustration,” is at Fernbank Museum through Jan. 1, 2025.
- For a scary good time, stop by the Starlight Drive-In in East Atlanta to catch “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” from the comfort of your car.
- FashionFest 2024 is this weekend at Georgia World Congress Center. It is a three-day business and fashion experience for consumers, retailers, brand owners, apparel manufacturers and fashion enthusiasts for the urban and pop-culture apparel community. Price of admission: $250.
- See “Dracula: The Failings of Men” Saturday through Nov. 3 at Shakespeare Tavern Playhouse.
- The exhibit, “Giants from the Dean Collection of Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys” is open at the High Museum of Art through Jan. 19, 2025.
- Start your weekends unwinding with live musical performances in The Colony Square Plaza the last Friday of the month from April to October. For upcoming show schedule go to go.colonysquare.com/groovin
- Atlantic Station hosts Creator’s Market from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. Saturdays and noon until 7 p.m. Sundays, every weekend through December.

- The Atlanta Pride Festival is this weekend. Headquarters: Piedmont Park. The official Pride Kickoff Party occurs Friday at Georgia Aquarium. Doors open at 7 p.m. The Atlanta Pride Parade steps off at noon Sunday at Peachtree and 10th streets. On Saturday, the Trans March and Rally steps off at 1:45 p.m. at the Charles Allen Gate (Piedmont Park). The Bi Pan March and rally begins at 3:30 p.m. at the Charles Allen Gate, and the Dyke March and Rally starts at 5 p.m., also at the Charles Allen Gate. Various events will occur throughout the weekend at locations in Piedmont Park.
- This October, World of Coca-Cola will host its first-ever Fantaween in Pemberton Place Park – a family-friendly experience celebrating the deliciously thrilling world of FANTA Halloween – in partnership with Georgia Aquarium. Every Saturday and Sunday, visitors can journey through haunted grounds filled with eerie illusions and spooky surprises. The haunted grounds located in Pemberton Place, the greenspace between the two attractions.
- NETHERWORLD Haunted House is open through Nov. 9.
- Amore è Amore in Inman Park has transformed for the season! It’s the spot to be for Halloween-themed sips and treats.
- Starting this weekend and continuing every weekend this month, Little 5 Points presents its Ghost Tours. Follow expert guides as they lead you to the neighborhood’s most chilling locations. From lingering spirits of the past to unexplained paranormal activity, you’ll hear the terrifying tales that have haunted the streets of L5P for generations.
- DreamHack comes to Georgia World Congress center this weekend. The three-day event, Friday through Sunday, invites you to connect, explore and win alongside fellow fans. Experience gaming culture, cosplay, entertainment, tabletop and esports.
For the family:
- Dad’s Garage Theatre presents Halloween Spooktacular Sunday from 1 until 5 p.m. Here’s what to expect: a reverse haunted house (kiddos scare the monsters), puppies, scary-oke karaoke, a Halloween-themed edition of The Wowie Zowie Show and plenty more. Bring the whole family for a spooky-good time on the patio, in the lobby and on the main stage.
- The Center for Puppetry Arts presents “Pancho Rabbit and the Coyote” through Oct. 20.
- Continuing through October, Georgia Aquarium presents Haunted Seas in the Ocean Voyager, Tropical Diver and River Scout areas. On weekends from 2 until 6 p.m., the adventure intensifies with an enhanced trick-or-treat experience.
- The Armored Animal exhibit at Fernbank Museum of Natural History tells a story of protection and defense through artifacts, spiny displays and casts from animals like fish and dinosaurs. The exhibit will be on display through Jan. 5, 2025.
- Starting Sunday and continuing through the end of the month, it’s a Halloween Brick-or-Treat Monster Party at LEGO Discovery Center. The monsters take over with some exciting Halloween activities.
- Pumpkin Festival: Play by Day, Glow by Night
Experience glowing pumpkins and festive activities at Stone Mountain Park.. - Children’s Museum of Atlanta’s fall featured exhibit, “Wallace & Gromit: Get Cracking,” The exhibit will educate and entertain kids through Jan. 12, 2025.
Sports, fitness & outdoors:
- The Georgia State University Panthers play the Old Dominion University Monarchs at 3 p.m. Saturday at Center Parc Stadium.Come out to the Broad Street Boardwalk for a FREE 60 minutes of all-levels vinyasa flow each Saturday morning at 10:00 AM!
- Hank Aaron Exhibit at Atlanta History Center
Explore the life and legacy of baseball legend Hank Aaron. - Atlanta’s popular fall tradition is back for its 22nd year. Scarecrows in the Garden returns, celebrating autumn with colorful creations from the community. The scarecrows get a little creepier after dusk during Fest-of-Ale when guests can enjoy craft beers and live entertainment Thursday – Saturday , Oct. 3 – 26 from 5 until 8 p.m.
