  • The Spring Festival on Ponce invites Atlanta to the Spring Festival on Ponce Saturday and Sunday. The Festival on Ponce is an Atlanta arts and crafts festival set in historic Olmsted Linear Park. 
  • Yes, your favorite ogre is back in the hilarious stage spectacle based on the Oscar®-winning, smash hit Dream-Works animated film SHREK. Now showing at the Fox.
  • A reimagining of Jane Austen’s “Sense and Sensibility” runs through April 28.
  • The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (ASO) and the Goethe-Zentrum Atlanta present a festival exploring the German Romantic movement. On Thursday and Friday, Nathalie Stutzman, ASO music director, leads the ASO in a concert at 8 p.m. in Atlanta Symphony Hall 
  • Pullman Yards is launching a new and permanent extension of its Chefs Market series! Starting March 16, Chefs Market will take place every weekend. The farmers market-meets-bustling bazaar will expand from its current model to include a wide array of cultures and ready-to-eat cuisines, while focusing on highlighting small businesses, local artisans, purveyors and beyond.
  • 1st Annual Cobb Parks Spring Arts Festival – Jim R. Miller Park and Events Center (Marietta) Discover Marietta’s newest annual tradition, the Cobb Parks Spring Arts Festival, where artistic retailers showcase handmade goods, fine arts, crafts, food trucks and performing arts. marietta.com; Saturday, April 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

  • Oakhurst Jazz Nights – The Solarium (Decatur) Jazz it up with the Oakhurst Neighborhood Association for the 20th season of Oakhurst Jazz Nights, featuring free outdoor jazz concerts every Thursday in April at the Solarium, promising an evening of musical delight.  oakhurstjazznights.comThursdays (April 4, 11, 18 and 25) from 7 – 9 p.m.
  • The Little 5 Festival lights up Little 5 Points Saturday from 1 until 8 p.m.
  • The Balloon Museum at Pullman Yards is flying high through April 14.
  • Studio 57th hosts the infamous Disco Night! Keepin it groovy with the 80’s. Come dressed to impress in 80’s apparel!! There’s gonna be a costume contest too with multiple prize amounts! DJ from 8pm-Midnight. Must be 21+ – Friday April 5th

  • Spiders — From Fear to Fascination” is on view at Fernbank Museum of Natural History through May 5.
  • Stellaluna‘ is playing at Center for Puppetry Arts through May 19.
  • Dino Festival at Stone Mountain Park runs through April 28. Check the Stone Mountain Park website for specific times and dates for various events.
  • The popular exhibit Flora, Fauna & Flight returns to Fernbank Museum of Natural History on Saturday March 23rd and continues through June 23.
  • The Children’s Museum of Atlanta hosts “Outside the Box”. The exhibit runs through May 5. “Outside the Box” aims to fuel children’s imaginations by unleashing a world of timeless fun.  

Sports, fitness & outdoors:

  • The Braves will kick off a three-game series against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Friday. Atlanta’s Max Fried is scheduled to start against Arizona’s Tommy Henry.
  • Mercedes-Benz Stadium is the site; Saturday is the date for soccer’s SheBelieves Cup action. The double-header features USA vs. Japan at 12:30 p.m. and Brazil vs. Canada at 3:30 p.m. The SheBelieves Cup kicks off the 2024 Olympic effort and is a showcase for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup bid. The USA and Japan met in three consecutive world finals at the 2011 Women’s World Cup, the 2012 Olympics and the 2015 Women’s World Cup.
  • Atlanta History Center launches new Hank Aaron exhibit.
  • Orchid Daze, Atlanta Botanical Garden’s annual celebration of its signature plant collection, is open through April 14.
