  •  Join Amy Poehler and Tina Fey on Jan 19th to celebrate their thirty years of friendship with an evening of jokes, stories, and conversational entertainment.
  • Enjoy January Friday Jazz at the High Museum of Art. Relax with a drink and light bites, explore the museum’s works on view and join a docent-led tour for a detailed look at the collection. With live jazz organized by Madoca Kawahara, the event will feature two musical areas where musicians will play throughout the evening, layering notes and improvising melodies.
  • Bring your friends and join an evening of comedy at The Laugh Loft! Hosted by Katherine Falen and featuring fantastic local talent!
  • The Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA) opens the exhibit “Please Be Seated” on Sunday.
  • The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical 1/18-1/24 at 8PM OnStage Atlanta
  • The Cirque du Soleil show “Echo” is open under the big top at Atlantic Station.
  • See “Pericles: Prince of Tyre” at Shakespeare Tavern Playhouse Saturday through Jan. 27. 
  • Welcome to Limelight Comedy Night – a thoughtfully curated line up of top Atlanta-based and touring stand-up comics, featuring comics from Atlanta’s favorite comedy clubs! – Friday 19th and 26th
  • Atlanta’s CDC Museum has opened the exhibit, “Ghosts of Segregation: Photographs of Rich Frishman.” The exhibit explores the lingering presence of segregation, slavery and institutional racism hidden in everyday American architecture.

  • Wildwoods: AGLOW at Fernbank Museum of Natural History will remain open on select nights through Feb. 25.
  • Who’s ready for another night of MUSIC BINGO with Dirty South Trivia?! Mark your calendars and join us in the tasting room Friday January 19th at 8pm for an exciting round of bingo!   • Atlanta Wine Festivals will host the Atlanta Winter Wine Festival at Guardian Works on Saturday, January 20, 2024.  There will be 2 Session: 12pm-4pm and 6pm-10pm. Enjoy the awesome venue with Live Music outside, and beats by DJ Qtip inside. Festival Tickets are $50 advance, $55 after Jan. 11, and $65 day of the event,
  • Enjoy a night in a galaxy far, far away with the hit burlesque parody “Empire Strips Back,” a popular show that drops the iconic Star Wars characters into a world of burlesque. Shows are Wednesday-Sunday from November 29-January 21. Tickets can be purchased at theempirestripsback.com/atlanta/
  • Pullman Yards is hosting Night Markets featuring Hispanic & Latin Artists, Crafters, Food vendors and Organizations highlighting ATL’s Hispanic community! Saturday Jan 20th at 6pm.
  • Join 12 Cocktail Bar for a very special evening of cocktail education with  award-winning barmen and Beverage Director, Randy Hayden. Tickets are $100. Guests will enjoy an exclusive and intimate class setting and receive hands-on experience creating four hand-crafted cocktails.

For the family:

  • The Children’s Museum of Atlanta opens “Outside the Box” on Saturday. The exhibit runs through May 5. “Outside the Box” aims to fuel children’s imaginations by unleashing a world of timeless fun. 
  • The Center for Puppetry Arts presents “Labzik: Tales of a Clever Pup” Saturday at 8 p.m. 
  • Dad’s Garage presents “Adventure Playhouse” a part-scripted and part-improv comedy show for kids, on stage through March 2. Showtime is Saturdays at 3 p.m. 
  • Westside Sports League is a Year-round program for youth in grades 3rd to 12th. Youth participate in sports such as baseball, lacrosse, soccer, and volleyball.

  • Decatur’s Lunar New Year festival at Ebster Rec Courtyard
    Saturday, February 3rd, 2024 from 1:00pm-5:00pm
  • A Decatur tradition- the Mead Road Mardi Gras parade is back!
    Sign up as a Krewe to walk in the parade or sign up as a sponsor to help us raise money for music and arts education in Decatur.
    As always, watching from along Mead Rd is free and encouraged! Wear your purple, green, and gold. Saturday Feb. 3rd. More info at meadrdmardigras.org
