Art & comedy
- “Wicked” is at the Fox from July 6th to 30th! (We saw this in NYC recently and highly recommend it.)
- “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” opens Saturday at Shakespeare Tavern Playhouse and runs through July 23.
- Sunday at The Breman, it’s Dance Talk: In Step with Baryshnikov, starting at 2 p.m.
- The second Friday of each month brings Oasis night to the High Museum of Art, starting at 6 p.m. Oasis includes yoga, art making and reflecting with works of art. Enjoy zero-proof beverages or sip a glass of wine, cultivate a community centered on art, presence and contemplative practice.
- Music this week includes: Erykah Badu at State Farm Arena, T-Pain at Coca-Cola Roxy, Angie Aparo and The Infidels at Eddies Attic, The Grindhouse Nashville Showcase, Domani at The Masquerade, Killer Mike and the Midnight Revival at the Tabernacle, Starbenders with Haunt at The Loft, An Orchestral Rendition of Dr. Dre 2001 and Melissa Villasenor at City Winery
- Horizon presents “The House that will not Stand” through Aug. 6. The play is a story of desire, jealousy, murder and voodoo.

- Buckhead Village invites Atlantans to get out and enjoy the warm weather with its new Summer Fridays live music series! On Friday evenings from 4:30-6pm on Buckhead Avenue and from 6-8pm in The Veranda (through August 11),
- Summer Soul-stice music series on Saturdays at Chattahoochee Food Works
- Live musical performances in The Colony Square Plaza every Friday from April to October
- Enjoy the enchanting Music in the Garden series at Woodlands Garden in Decatur, featuring free performances in the screened-in pavilion on select Sundays.
- Jazzy Sundays in the Parks: Discovery Green – Free concert series celebrating the legacy of jazz.

- Sunday Weekend Wind Down Concert Series in Avondale Estate
More fun things!
- Join Hapeville’s Downtown Live series with Jazz & Seafood to enjoy the musical stylings of Major Scale Band and Nightwind Jazz. Food and beverage vendors include Got Seafood with Blazing Blue Crabs, Beer Girl, Peachtree Grub Truck, GOAP (Greatest of all Pops), Hapeville Exchange Club and Family’s Favorite. The concert is FREE to attend! Don’t forget your lawn chairs and blankets for a swingin’ evening in the park!
- Fernbank After Dark: Survivor edition – Friday at 7pm
- PAWty in the Park is a free, once-a-month mini-festival in the 10th Street Park to celebrate all-things dog. If you don’t have a dog, we think you will still have a blast! Occurs the third Saturday of each month through October for a DJ, pop-up food vendors, drinks, games, and more.
- On Sunday, July 16th, from 1-4pm, Beetlecat is hosting a shark week event.
- Every weekend through December (weather permitting), Creator’s Market sets up on the green at Atlantic Station. The market features more than a dozen vendors selling hand-crafted products including jewelry, home décor, soaps and candles.
- Hit the L.O.A. Pool Club deck for an unforgettable night to end the long, stressful work week on a high note while overlooking the city’s incredible skyline.
- Drag Brunch hosted by A Lot to Love Events! Enjoy the decked out brunch with themed cocktails and beers along with fabulous brunch choices while these queens turn it out!
Tickets are $17 per person and must be booked by the table or Bar Seat – Ticket proceeds help pay hard working queens, please bring DOLLAR BILLS to tip - The Farmer’s Markets are back. - Immersive Disney Animation is an innovative celebration that takes you inside the greatest films of Walt Disney Animation Studios, from their very earliest, groundbreaking features to the beloved hit movies of today from 5/4/23 to 9/30/23.
- “Shaun the Sheep: Flock this Way” opens Saturday at the Children’s Museum of Atlanta and runs through Sept. 4.
- Saturday at 10:30 AM – 11:15 AM Craft Time for Kids East Atlanta Library
- Running through Sept. 4 at Fernbank Museum of Natural History, “Survival of the Slowest” is all about slow-moving animals. (Live sloth and other animals!)
Sports, fitness & outdoors:
- The Chicago White Sox are in town for the weekend for three games against the Atlanta Braves at Truist Park. As always, Friday night fans in attendance should remain after the last out to enjoy Friday Night Fireworks. Friday night game time is 7:20 p.m. Ahead of Saturday’s 7:15 p.m. game, fans should gather at the Georgia Power Pavilion for live music from Party Nation staring at 6 p.m. Sunday’s game, which includes a Braves lunchbox giveaway, begins at 1:35 p.m.
- Soccer fans will be at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in full force at 7:30 p.m. Saturday when Atlanta United plays Orlando City FC.

- Atlanta Beltline Weekly Run Group – Westside
- Cheer on the Atlanta Braves from the comfort of Midtown’s Living Room! In partnership with Bally Sports, Colony Square will be showing select Braves games on The Plaza big screen.
- Check out ongoing Free Fitness programs for all ages and fitness levels with a variety of exercise classes open to everyone in park location throughout the City of Atlanta including:
- Free Yoga Classes in Woodruff Park Saturdays from 10AM-11AM.
- King of Pops Yoga at Historic Fourth Ward Skate Park – Sat May 27th, June 10th, June 24th and more!

- Through October, start your month off with lots of laughs from The Punchline Comedy featuring live comedy acts, drinks specials, and more! The performances occur on the first Monday of the month, last about 90 minutes, and are recommended for ages 13 and older.
