Art & comedy

  • Boz Scaggs & Keb’ Mo’ Saturday at 8am at The Fox Theatre
  • UPS Second Sunday – High Museum of Art High Museum of Art offers free admission on the second Sunday of each month, making breathtaking art accessible to all. The whole family can enjoy special exhibits, art-making workshops and performances. June 11th.
  • The Atlanta Fringe Festival occurs at various venues through Sunday. Enjoy live improv, comedy, theater, puppetry, storytelling, circus arts and more by indie artists from across the world. The 2023 festival takes place over one jam-packed week in venues throughout Little Five Points, East Atlanta Village and Old Fourth Ward. 
  • “Water for Elephants” is showing at the Alliance Theatre through July 9. 
  • For Peace I Rise,” the musical love story of civil rights activists C.T. and Octavia Geans Vivian, is playing at the Rialto Center for the Arts through June 18. 
  • The Atlanta Opera (who we are honored to have as a Mint Mobile Detail member!) presents the 96-Hour Opera Project at the Ray Charles Performing Arts Center at Morehouse College this weekend. Featuring melodies and performances of composers and librettists from across the country, this event is your chance to enjoy their 10-minute operas.
  • On Tuesdays, Buteco at EAV’s Southern Feed Store hosts an entertaining Open Mic night with comedy, music, poetry and more! Every Tuesday (June 6, 13, 20 and 27); at 8 p.m.

  • Opening Saturday and running through Sept. 4 at Fernbank Museum of Natural History, “Survival of the Slowest” is all about slow-moving animals.
  • Fernbank Museum of Natural History opens an outdoor exhibit, “Flora, Fauna & Flight”. The exhibit runs through Aug. 27.
  •  Illuminarium has launched a new addition to its SPACE spectacle, an interactive James Webb Space Telescope Experience

  • Experience Atlanta’s Juneteenth Parade and Festival, a celebration of freedom and unity featuring live music, cultural activities, delectable cuisine, and a vibrant parade. Friday, June 16 – Sunday, June 18.
  • Celebrate Juneteenth at historic Oakland Cemetery with a family-friendly event featuring live music, food vendors, children’s storytelling, tours, a vendor market and more. Join in honoring the significance of Juneteenth and the achievements and economic reconstruction of the African American community. Saturday, June 17 from 10:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. 
  • Celebrate Juneteenth at the Atlanta History Center with live music, food, storytelling, interactive crafts and workshops on Black genealogy and preserving family artifacts.
  • Celebrate Father’s Day at the College Football Hall of Fame with complimentary admission for dads (with one paid ticket) and a chance to win a $25 gift card to The Home Depot for the first 100 dads. Enjoy interactive fun on the indoor football field and create lasting memories with your dad.
  • The Great Georgia Balloon Festival  at the Atlanta Motor Speedway – June 16th and 17th.
