  • A new exhibit, “Golden Opportunity: Botanical Illustration,” is at Fernbank Museum through Jan. 1, 2025.

  • Capturing the Spirit of Oakland begins Thursday for it’s 18th year. History, culture and the thrill of Halloween converge during tours, which are designed to enlighten rather than frighten. The past is illuminated by lantern light as the sun sets, and costumed storytellers breathe life into the tales of Oakland’s notable and notorious residents. Live music sets the mood, and craft beer and an artisanal cocktail complete the evening. Arrive in costume to immerse yourself fully in the enchanting spirit of the night. Capturing the Spirit occurs Thursday through Sunday this week and next week.

Sap Can Permanently Damage Your Car!

Tree sap is acidic and can slowly eat away at your car’s clear coat—the protective layer of your vehicle’s paint. Over time, this can lead to permanent etching and discoloration of the paint. Once sap hardens, it becomes extremely difficult to remove without specialized cleaners. Trying to scrape it off can scratch your car’s surface. Give us a call or text us photos of your vehicle for a custom quote for sap removal.
