Art & comedy

  • Atlanta Ballet 2 Presents The Swan Princess: Experience a family-friendly adaptation of the classic “Swan Lake” performed by Atlanta Ballet 2. Showtimes are Saturday, Feb. 15 at 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., and Sunday, Feb. 16 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cobb Galleria Centre.
  • HeART Party at the High – 2/14 at 6PM – Registration Required 
  • Love Letters and Love Stinks at Whole World Theatre: On Friday, Feb. 14, at 8 p.m., watch improvisational performances of submitted love letters in “Love Letters.” At 10 p.m., the theme shifts to “Love Stinks,” with more comedic interpretations.
  • Atlanta’s own Raymond Carr, filmmaker, puppeteer and creator of imaginative characters, enters the spotlight as the featured artist in the Puppetry NOW showcase at the Center for Puppetry Arts. Known for blending puppetry with cinematic flair and an absurdist touch, Carr has earned accolades for his innovative approach to storytelling. See it through March 16.(Fun fact: Raymond is also married to the owner of the Sentimentalist – a local bridal shop that we love!) 
  • Alliance Theatre presents “Doctor De Soto” on the Hertz Stage through March 2. The 45-minute play for audiences ages 4 to 10 includes live-action, puppetry, music and rhyme. The De Soto family dentist practice takes pity on a suffering fox with a rotten tooth. But once he opens his jaws and they must step inside, they begin to rethink their decision.

 Valentine’s Day in the Garden at Atlanta Botanical Garden: On Friday, Feb. 14, from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., enjoy a romantic evening with live jazz, dancing, and dining under the stars.

  • In honor of the deepest love of all, the love shared between gal pals, Atlantic Station will be throwing a full-blown Galentine’s Day event on Thursday, February 13, from 6:30pm-7:30pm.   • The exhibit, “X-Ray Vision: Fish Inside Out,” is open at Fernbank Museum of Natural History. 
  • Fernbank Museum of Natural History brings WildWoods Aglow to Atlanta. It is on exhibit through Feb. 23, 2025. 
  • The “Ultimate Dinosaurs” exhibit is open at Fernbank Museum of Natural History. See these prehistoric creatures come to life in the 21st century.
  • Family Concert: I Love Music at Atlanta Symphony Hall Explore how rhythm and melody work together to create sweet, flowing tunes that fill your heart.  Feb. 16.

  • The Atlanta Vibe plays the Indy Ignite at 6 p.m. Saturday at Gas South Arena. 
  • The Georgia State University men’s basketball Panthers play the Appalachian State Mountaineers at 2 p.m. Saturday at the GSU Convocation Center. At 5 p.m., the women’s team takes on the Appalachian State women’s team, also at the GSU Convocation Center.
  • The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets men’s basketball team plays the California Golden Bears at 4 p.m. Saturday at McCamish Pavilion.
  • At noon on Sunday at McCamish Pavilion, the Georgia Tech women take on the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. Clark Atlanta University men play Edward Waters University at 4 p.m. Saturday at L.S. Epps Gymnasium.
